Time Square

Time Square is one of the busiest pedestrian intersections. Time Square is a neighborhood in Midtown Manhattan, New York City. It is brightly adorned with billboards and advertisements. It stretches from West 42nd to West 47nd Streets. Time Square is sometimes referred to as The Crossroads of the World, the Center of the Universe, the Heart of the Great White Way, and the “Heart of the World”. Time Square is mainly known for its bright lights, shopping, and shows. There is an estimation of about 50 million people yearly, and approximately 300,000 people pass through Time Square daily. It was formally named Longacre Square, it was renamed in April 1904.
